At SC Travel, we’ve been proudly supporting Chesterfield, Derbyshire and its surrounding areas with accessible taxi and transport services for over two decades.

As one of the first wheelchair accessible taxi services to be established in the Amber Valley area, our mission is clear: To provide proper, safe and professional accessible transport.

This is what SC Travel was founded for by Sean Connolly, our family business’ founder. Having been a taxi provider across the country for many years, Sean was unhappy with how little accessible transport was available in the Amber Valley and wider Derbyshire area. So, he decided to establish SC Travel – a trusted transport provider for all.

Since then, we’ve been Derbyshire’s chosen accessible transport provider, trusted by the likes of Chesterfield College, Ash Lea School and Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

Main features of our accessible vehicles

Our fleet of accessible vehicles can cater for up to 19 seats and 5 wheelchairs, with some including wheelchair accessible W/C access.

These features make our taxi services ideal for school runs, day trips and almost every outing in between for those with accessible needs.

Our team of upskilled drivers

All of the drivers here at SC Travel are given comprehensive training in safeguarding, disability awareness, first aid and passenger assisting.

This training ensures that we can provide taxi services that are not only accessible, but safe and responsible for our passengers – ensuring that you can be at ease on your SC Travel journey.

Where we travel to 

Based in Alfreton, Derbyshire our accessible taxi services at SC Travel extend across Chesterfield, Ripley, Clay Cross, Mansfield, Derby, Nottingham and pretty much anywhere in between!

We also travel across the UK for airport transfers, which can be 100% accessible through our variety of vehicles.
